San Francisco 1
San Francisco forever!
It was 20 years ago. I was lucky enough to come here at 16. Lucky enough to get a taste of the American dream as a teenager. I can never thank my parents enough.
Back then, they scrimped and saved for me and gave me the luxury of 3 weeks here, at summer camp with the CHR in Lille.
From that time I've kept not only a friend (Hi, Jérém!) but also a tremendous drive to create, to grow and to build. The American Dream!
Here, anything is possible. I want to show my kids that energy and explain to them that here, if you work hard, you can make your dreams come true.
Jérémie also had the guts to start his own company. To become a boss. Something so frowned upon in France (they're all crooks!) and so respected here. I'm convinced that for him too, that trip set his dreams in motion.

It's crazy...
It's crazy. I've been dreaming of coming back here for 20 years. And the very day we arrive is the day the French government picks to announce a tax hike for business owners who sell their company: more than 60%!When you live in France, you have no idea how much damage this kind of announcement does abroad.
After the 75% tax on high incomes, we're really starting to be a laughingstock when we meet Americans.
We fell head over heels...
We spend 9 full days in San Francisco. We fall head over heels for it. We make the most of it. We wander around. Here we meet up with 2 French families traveling like us: the Cavagnis and the Blablas! The evenings are warm and the drinks flow freely.
We didn't stop here to settle down. We want to keep traveling, but we'll treasure this city in our hearts.
